Who We Are

Conroe Music Teachers Association is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Texas Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association.  Through Student Affiliate, our young musicians can learn, compete and perform in all areas of music.  Opportunities include

CMTA Meetings

CMTA members were royally entertained by winners of the local Performance Contest and Cash Award Piano Contest at a pre-dinner program for our May gathering. It was a rare treat to hear such fine talent and artistry coming from some of CMTA's more enthusiastic up-and-coming young musicians. Awards and trophies were presented to students, a delicious meal was served, and officers were installed for the 2009-2010 Association year. Our new officers are pictured below.

Upcoming important dates are as follows:

  • June 8th - Local Ensemble Honors Concert, 7 pm Ark Church
  • June 11-14 - TMTA Convention

Availabliity

Dianne Kaldor is the Availability Chairman for CMTA. She is the liason between people who need teachers, and teachers who have room for more students. If you need students or know of students who need a teacher, please email or call her at (936) 271-1123 and let her know.
