Conroe Music Teachers Association is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Texas Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association. Through Student Affiliate, our young musicians can learn, compete and perform in all areas of music. Opportunities include

Because of our commitment to excellence, Conroe MTA was named the Best In State MTA in Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA) in both 2007 and 2010!
CURRENT NEWS
The Oxford Music Dictionary can be downloaded as an iPhone app, complete with musical terms, works, composers, musicians, orchestras, and more.
We still do not have a chairman for the Spring Festival. We must have one by February 3rd for this event to take place. Please consider volunteering for this position so that our students have this opportunity to perform. Help is available from past event chairmen.
CMTA MEETINGS
Our next meeting will be on Friday, February 3rd, at Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church. That date is the deadline for entries for Performance Contest, Chamber Music at the convention, and also World of Music Test.
Please note that the Legacy Concerto Competition Winner's Salon Concert that was scheduled for Sunday, February 5th has been changed to April 16th, 2012. Nikki Patel will be featured at this scheduled season concert, performing the Ibert Flute Concerto with the Conroe Symphony.
AVAILABILITY
Dianne Kaldor is the Availability Chairman for CMTA. She is the liason between people who need teachers, and teachers who have room for more students. If you need students or know of students who need a teacher, please email her.
